Founder Christine DeLeon combined her experiences of leadership development, personalized learning, and entrepreneurship to create Moonshot edVentures, an organization building the pipeline of diverse leaders to design and launch the schools of tomorrow in Metro Denver.
Vision and Mission
Moonshot edVentures envisions a learner-centered system, led by individuals who share and empathize with the experience of the students and communities they aim to serve, where all children become life-long learners who persist through life and meaningfully contribute to their communities.
At Moonshot, we are guided by a set of principles that drive the work we do every day. We are inspired by friend and colleague, Aaron Walker, founder of Camelback Ventures, who reminds us that, “Genius is equally distributed, but access is not.”
Why the name Moonshot?
We believe to fundamentally change outcomes for students, we need to fundamentally change the way we do school. Moonshot edVentures’ name was inspired by this YouTube video, Moonshot Thinking, whose transcript (and many inspiring quotes) inspire the way we do our work.
