Short bio:

Dr. Angelina Walker is the Principal for John H. Amesse Elementary, part of the the Montbello Children’s Network and fights for academic achievement for all students through transformative, empowering, equitable, socially just, courageous lenses.

John H. Amesse Elementary School, in partnership with the Montbello Children’s Network and McGlone Academy, offers students and families the opportunity to create a unique partnership of public schools.  By design, this partnership will empower the community to build educational opportunities that result in academic achievement and foster the qualities and characteristics of learners to create positive change.

For the past fifteen years, Dr. Walker’s work has been predominantly with highly-impacted communities of color in the Denver Metro area. She is deeply passionate about history and social justice as a means to drive critical thinking, equity, and change in order to redefine and expand horizons for future leaders. She holds a B.A. in Elementary Education, an M.A. in Linguistically Diverse Education and a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies.
