Sean Wybrant

Sean currently crafts tomorrow’s heroes in his classroom by teaching students to critically think and solve problems through computer science and video game development at William J. Palmer High School.

Sean’s school vision sees students, staff, and businesses/organizations tackling problems in their community together. Students learn about subjects without artificial subject distinctions and pitch relevant “real-world” projects they wish to take on. A co-working level in the building will enable businesses to spend time working with students on student-generated projects that allow for the practical application of academic content and entrepreneurial skills.

From 2012 to 2017, Sean worked to create a fully-functional game development studio in a traditional public high school. This led to Sean’s selection as the 2017 Colorado Teacher of the Year. Prior to that, he facilitated the application of English and language arts competencies with a service-learning approach.
