Powered by Community - The Moonshot 2023 Showcase

In a vibrant celebration of community, innovation, and creativity, Moonshot edVentures’s 2023 Community Showcase brought together over 200 individuals for an unforgettable evening.

The event was kicked of by our Alumni emcee’s, Tatenda Blessing Muchiriri (C4) and Aleiya Evison (C6). Throughout the evening, guests participated in an interactive block party style event which included a community fair of alumni founded ventures, live interviews with YEBO Media, and delicious bites from Delice Afro-Caribbean Cuisine.

Six Moonshot Alums Miles Iton (C6), Jasmine Jones (C4), Megan Casimir (C4), Alejandro Fuentes Mena (C2), Branta Lockett (C1), and Ellie Adelman (C4), brought the evening together through a series of PechaKucha storytelling presentations centered around the power of community. The stage was also graced by the incredible performances of In Lak’ech Denver Arts and Dream Create Inspire Tour.

Beyond the scheduled events, Moonshot’s 2023 Community Showcase provided a platform for meaningful connections and collaborations. One of our alumni brought several students who shared about their work and upcoming projects. At one point a student made an ask for donations for them to go on a field trip and one of our community members donated on the spot. Our alum shared: “[My student] talked about this the ENTIRE way home from the event, and how she ‘didn’t know she had it in her.’ Thank you for providing a space that feels like home for so many, where these genuinely beautiful moments of connection and possibility arise organically. ”

Attendees mingled, shared ideas, and built relationships that extended beyond the event itself. The event served as a reminder of the strength of our community and the unlimited possibilities we have when uniting under a common purpose.

We are incredibly thankful to everyone that supported Moonshot in making this event a success and would like to especially thank our volunteers, alumni, vendors, sponsors, and team for all of their efforts in putting this evening together.
