I have built a career in community organizing and student advocacy in Denver. I have worked on a number of organizing efforts to push for policy change to allow for students' voices to be more influential in education and political initiatives. I was the Organizing Director for Project VOYCE,  a 15 year-old youth leadership development organization in Denver, where I taught community organizing skills to youth and adults.  I also partnered with over 100 young people as Lead Adult Partner & Policy Advocate for the Student Voice Student Vote Advocacy Campaign.

Abigail (Abby) K. Hasberry, Ph.D.

She/Her

I want to provide founders the direction, support, and space to be vulnerable that I did not have when I was a founder. I meet my clients where they are. I believe in building on my clients’ strengths and supporting their growth areas by enhancing their confidence, knowledge base, and network. The hour I spend with my clients is their hour, and while they decide on the agenda, I provide resources, contacts, thought partnering, and strategic planning. I also emphasize the absolute necessity of a healthy work/life balance and organizational culture. My coaching is tailored to each client, allowing them to bring their authentic selves to the table.

I have extensive experience with founding schools (preschool through high school) and school leadership. Through my organization, D.E.A.R. Abby Consulting, I have coached more than four dozen school founders and founders of educational organizations from across the country. Specifically, I have experience coaching and consulting with leaders and organizations that classify as charter schools, private schools, nonprofit and for-profit organizations, and traditional public schools. I am a former teacher, diversity coordinator, college professor, and founding school principal in PK-12 schools. In addition, I’m also Texas superintendent certified and a practicing marriage and family therapist. I have a bachelors degree in Sociology & African American Studies, masters degrees in Teaching K-12 and Counseling & development, a PhD in Curriculum & Instruction, and am finishing a third masters degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology in the summer 2024.
