We know applying is a big decision. These FAQs address the most common questions we hear about who the Innovation Space is for, program cost, and attendance expectations.

We are seeking up to 20 community leaders from historically marginalized identities to join our next cohort (Fall 2025 - Spring 2026). Moonshot seeks applicants who bring the following skills and qualities:
Living and designing a community solution that positively impacts youth in Colorado
Able to attend weekly workshops in Denver
The 2025-2026 Moonshot cohort will meet approximately one evening per week (Thursdays) from early September 2025 through May 2026 with one weekend per month. Click here for our expected workshop dates.
Experiences, skills, and values rooted in racial equity, inclusion, and belonging
Strong subject matter knowledge, experience, and/or skills in solution focus area
Understands the value and importance of collaboration and co-creating with the community to build ideas
Demonstrates strong self management and is highly organized, motivated, and detail-oriented
Prioritizes relational and strategic decision making
What’s NOT required:
Previous startup experience
Previous supervision experience

We ask that each Moonshot Fellow contribute a $600 investment as a commitment to joining the Moonshot Innovation Space. This investment represents how you will be showing up for yourself, your cohort, and the community as you step into this transformative journey. All investments will be absorbed back into program costs for the fellowship. Scholarships are available to those with financial need.
The first program fee ($300) is due by August 4, 2025.
The second program fee ($300) is due by September 4, 2025.
We want to ensure all Fellows can participate in this program. If finances are a barrier, or if you have any questions, please email us at info@moonshotedventures.org.

Fellows are expected to be at all programming in the calendar (click here to view). Fellows who anticipate more than 3 major conflicts are encouraged to apply for the fellowship in a future year. There are some workshops that, if missed, could result in a Fellow being released from the fellowship.
Due to our cohort-style approach, your attendance and participation is critical to the cohort’s collective learning. As such, we offer financial assistance to those in need of resources to make this happen (e.g., child care).
